Mentor Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

• Platform: The marketplace website and services operated under the name "Career Coach Connect".
• Mentor: An individual who offers professional guidance, resume reviews, or mock interviews through the Platform.
• Mentee: A user seeking professional development services from Mentors.
• Services: Professional offerings including but not limited to 1:1 video calls, resume audits, and interview preparation.
• Booking: A confirmed appointment scheduled between a Mentor and a Mentee via the Platform.

2. Independent Contractor Status

The Mentor is an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, joint venturer, or partner of Career Coach Connect. You are solely responsible for determines your own methods of performance, setting your schedule, and managing your professional activities. No employment relationship is created by these Terms.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

To be eligible as a Mentor, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess the professional qualifications, experience, and expertise you claim in your profile.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
• Maintain the security of your account and immediately notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Accuracy of Information

You represent and warrant that all information provided in your professional profile—including employment history, education, and skills—is true and verifiable. The Platform reserves the right to background check or verify your credentials at any time.

5. Code of Conduct

Mentors must:

• Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions.
• Respect the confidentiality of Mentees.
• Refrain from any discriminatory, harassing, or inappropriate behavior.
• Avoid providing financial, legal, or medical advice that requires specific licensing.

6. Non-Circumvention

You agree to process all bookings and payments for Mentees discovered through the Platform exclusively through Career Coach Connect. You shall not solicit Mentees to pay for services outside the Platform. Attempting to circumvent the Platform's payment system is a material breach and may lead to immediate termination.

7. Services & Pricing Responsibility

Mentors have the sole discretion to:

• Select which services to offer.
• Set their own pricing for each service type.
• Manage their availability calendar.

You are responsible for delivering the services as described in your profile and during the scheduled booking time.

8. Payment Processing & Commission Structure

• Fees: The Platform charges a commission (service fee) on every successful booking. The current commission rate will be displayed in your dashboard.
• Payouts: Payouts are processed via our third-party payment partner after the successful completion of a session.
• Suspension: We reserve the right to withhold or suspend payouts in cases of suspected fraud, disputes, or violations of these Terms.

9. Refunds, Cancellations & No-Show Policy

• Mentor No-Show: If a Mentor fails to attend a scheduled session without 24-hour prior notice, the Mentee is entitled to a full refund, and the Mentor may be subject to platform penalties.
• Cancellations: Cancellations made by users are subject to our standard Refund Policy.

10. Taxes & Local Compliance

You are solely responsible for calculating, reporting, and remitting all applicable taxes (including but not limited to income tax, GST/VAT, and social security contributions) required by your local jurisdiction. The Platform does not act as a tax withholding agent.

11. Intellectual Property

• Mentor Content: You grant the Platform a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your profile info and public content for marketing purposes.
• Platform IP: All software, designs, and trademarks of Career Coach Connect remain the exclusive property of the Platform.

12. Confidentiality

Any non-public information shared between Mentors and Mentees during sessions must be kept strictly confidential. You shall not record sessions without explicit written consent from the Mentee and the Platform.

13. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance

The Platform processes personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. As a Mentor, you may receive Mentee data; you agree to process such data only as necessary for the services and in compliance with global data protection laws.

14. Limitation of Liability

Career Coach Connect is a marketplace provider and is not liable for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of the advice provided by Mentors. In no event shall the Platform be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services.

15. No Guarantees

The Platform does not guarantee that mentorship sessions will result in job placements, salary increases, or specific career milestones. Mentors must not make any such fraudulent guarantees to Mentees.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Career Coach Connect from any claims, damages, or losses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your professional advice, or your interaction with Mentees.

17. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms, received consistently poor ratings, or engaged in conduct detrimental to the community.

18. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.

19. Amendments

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified via email or a dashboard alert. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
